American singer-songwriter and record producer Tinashe has canned her upcoming Australian tour, to give her time to put up the finishing touches on her much-awaited album.
In a statement, Tinashe is regretful that she has to cancel the Joyride World Tour due to unexpected recording commitments.
“My two biggest loves are music and my fans, and it is never my intention to disappoint anyone. I know there has been some confusion in regards to my album’s release date. Trust me, I am as eager to get it out to you as you are to hear it. I will be wrapping up the finishing touches on Joyride by the end of May, and will be back on the road shortly thereafter to see all of you. If you know anything about me, you know this was the last thing I would ever want to do”, said she.
Furthermore, the singer also stated that she would be doing a live Q&A on her facebook account to answer all questions regarding the cancellation of the tour.
Both Niche Productions and Live Nation have also offered their apologies for any disappointment this may have caused to the fans.
Meanwhile, ticketholders will be able to refund their payment from the point of purchase and ticketing agents will be contacting patrons for the refund process.
Had it not been canned, the tour would have kicked off this May 21 in Brisbane.
